Getting started
Starting therapy or pursuing assessment can feel like a big step. We've kept the process simple: a brief conversation first, then, if we're a fit, scheduling your first session.
The process
Call 303-578-2302, email info@denver-therapy.net, or use our contact form. Tell us briefly what you're looking for: therapy, assessment, couples work, or help choosing a clinician.
We'll schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation. This is a chance to describe your situation, ask questions about our approach, and hear whether we think we're the right fit, or whether another type of care would serve you better.
If we agree to work together, we'll schedule an intake session, in person in Denver or via secure telehealth where your clinician is licensed. We'll discuss fees, policies, and what to expect before you commit to ongoing work.
Choosing a path
Individual or couples therapy: Ongoing relational work with Catherine Comiskey, LCSW or Shea McTaggart, PsyD. Begin with a consultation; we'll help you choose a clinician if you're unsure. Meet our clinicians.
Psychological assessment: Structured evaluation led by Dr. McTaggart for adults 18+ seeking clarity on ADHD, mood, trauma, or personality-related questions. Learn about assessment.
Many clients start with assessment for diagnostic clarity, then continue with therapy. Others begin with therapy directly. Either path is fine. The consultation helps us figure out what makes sense for you.
Good to know
We do not bill insurance directly. HSA/FSA accepted; superbills available for out-of-network reimbursement.
In-person sessions in Denver. Telehealth depends on your clinician and licensed state. Details
The consultation is free. The first session is a mutual fit check: you're not locked in after one meeting.
